i lived in the darkness

a friend gave me a candle

i lit it

it guided me - help to wherever i wanted to be

 

the candle light faded ...

it was dying ..

my friend gave me another one

i lit it again

..and again, one by one...

 

my friend was rich of candles

i thought they'd never run out ...

but i was such a fool

one day, i asked for more candles

he never let me know

he torn his clothes into pieces, to make more fuel

lit it .. and gave it to me

 

a fool like me never knew

never asked if he needed anything

but i'd always been prepared to give

anything..

say to me you need my help..

though you may think i'm not so rich of sunlight that i could help

 

one day, the usual day

darkness came and again i asked for more candles 

running out of clothes and all his belongings..

he never let me know

lit himself into fire.. in order to guide me
